About Rocky Road:

At Rocky Road, we are redefining social gaming with our hyper-local gaming network. We are a team of 14 people across three different countries, with our main office at Guðrúnartún 8 in Reykjavík.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Content Editor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about creating and refining engaging content, who is looking to develop their skills in content editing and digital media.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our content across various platforms. You will review and edit written materials, perform basic photo editing, and coordinate with contractors to source new content. This position requires excellent English skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and edit content for grammar, accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our style guide.
• Perform simple photo editing tasks to enhance the visual appeal of our content.
• Source and manage content from freelance writers and other contractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with the LiveOps team to develop and implement content strategies.
• Assist in managing the content calendar and ensuring content is published on schedule.
• Provide support to the content team in various editorial tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

• Excellent command of the English language.
• Familiarity with basic photo editing software (e.g. Canva or equivalent) is a plus
• Ability to work independently
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
• Previous experience in content editing or publishing is a plus, but not required.
